Carly and Matt are getting married this weekend!! I’m extremely excited about shooting their wedding! Here’s just a couple of shots form an engagement portrait session we had back in April.

The last time I saw Devin, she was just 6 weeks old and teeny! Here she is as a newborn, just a couple weeks old –

Yesterday I was lucky to catch her in town before she had to go back home to Ft. Worth. I can’t believe how big she’s gotten!

I planted this here flower about four years ago. It was a little nubbin when it went in the pot.

Always stayed green, but never flowered.

Then I moved away. My old roommate kept the plant and last spring was the first it bloomed.

This was the first spring I saw it.

I should add that it was supposed to be of the blue variety. What a fantastic surprise.

Waaaayyyy back in March, I was fortunate to shoot this lovely wedding with the ever fabulous Shannon Cunningham.

Jennifer and Justin got married out at Nature’s Point which is a gorgeous venue on the north side of Lake Travis. The views are spectacular!

Jennifer getting ready:

After the ceremony, we moved onto some portraits. Let me tell you – even in the harsh afternoon sunlight, this venue delivered! Tons of great backdrops for the portraits!

While the colors in the shot above are gorgeous, there’s something about this B+W that I really love, too…

Then the party started!

This cake was delicious. Mmmm….

This lady was out-of-control! She danced the night away (and in case you noticed the guy’s apron strings…that IS a waiter…)

Oooh and if any bride’s-to-be are looking for a favor idea, here’s a new take on an old favorite! Instead of coozies for your beer, why not coffee coozies? You know – instead of using those generic cardboard wraps to prevent burning yourself? I thought this was a brilliant idea, served alongside my favorite – Coffee (of course), MightyLeaf Teas and pecan pralines!
